[Spain, EU] Last week, the Algae Europe 2016 was held successfully at Eurostars Madrid Tower Hotel in Madrid, Spain. This year’s conference brought together 230 participants from 164 international institutions around the world.
A day before the conference, the European Algae Biomass Association (EABA) held a general assembly and announced the 2017 steering board members. Vitor Verdelho Vieira is re-elected as the president of EABA. The board also welcomed six new members Alison Smith, Gabriel Acien, Jean Paul Cadoret, Andrew Spicer, Carlos Unamunzaga, and Alexandra Mosh to join the EABA team.
European Algae Biomass Association (EABA) is a non-profit organization in Europe is to promote mutual interchange and cooperation in the field of biomass production and use, including biofuels uses and all other utilisations. It aims at creating, developing and maintaining solidarity and links between its Members and at defending their interests at European and international level. Its main target is to act as a catalyst for fostering synergies among scientists, industrialists and decision makers in order to promote the development of research, technology and industrial capacities in the field of Algae.
