INDORE: A budding scientist from School of Energy and Environmental Studies of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has developed a low-cost and efficient photobioreactors for algae production which in turn is useful for biofuel production.
Though photobioreactors have been designed and developed by scientists across different parts of the globe, Shaishav Sharma’s model proved feasible and cost-effective. For his design and development, Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST) has conferred him with Young Scientist Award under Environment Science category during 30th Young Scientist Congress. The award comprises of cash prize of Rs 25,000 along with certificate and memento.
Young Scientist Congress is organized every year and invites research papers in 19 different categories from young researchers and faculties working in any college, university or research institution of Madhya Pradesh.
