Dutch alga company Nutress BV has announced a new partnership with German, internationally acting, marketer and distributor Harke Pharma, to deliver its algae products across German-speaking countries.
The agreement involves the distribution of Nutress’ portfolio, and will stabilize and strengthen Nutress’ channel for 2015 with a dedicated European algae distributor, the firm said.
The agreement is Nutress’ first direct distribution agreement in the DACH [German-speaking] countries, and forms part of the company’s strategy to focus on innovation and investment in its partner ecosystem, it said.
This new partnership follows Nutress’ recent cultivation expansion and builds on its international growth strategy. It will greatly benefit Nutress’ German language partners, resellers and customers, it added.
According to Reinier Smit, CEO of Nutress, the company has partnered with Harke because of its experience as a pharmaceutical and nutraceutical distributor, as well as its success and major growth in the last five years.
“Nutress is very excited to be working directly with Harke Pharma as the company has a strong track record in supplying innovative nutritional products,” said Smit.
“Harke Pharma has specific, in-depth knowledge of the local nutraceutical landscape and will be positioning Nutress highly, investing in a dedicated Nutress sales and development team.”
Harke will distribute the complete range of Nutress algae products including Chlorella vulgaris algae, Chlorella sorokiniana and, in the future, extractions thereof.
