[Qatar] The Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) at CAS hosted recently a workshop entitled “Microalgal Technologies and Applications”.
Attending the event were representatives from industry and governmental institutions, as well as Qatar University researchers and faculty. They had the opportunity to get hands-on training
focused on how to identify, grow and analyze algae for applications such as biofuels, animal feed and nutraceuticals.
In his remarks, CAS Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Affairs Dr Mohamed Ahmedna said: “This event highlights CSD’s commitment to boosting sustainability research, strengthening links with local and international organizations, and providing stakeholders with training and professional development.”
