[UK] If this doesn’t get the party started, we don’t know what will.
It’s National Tequila Day, which is great, because everyone knows tequila is the finest spirit on the planet.
But before you head out to down toxic shots of cheap stuff, may we suggest that you try something a little more sophisticated.
Enter World of Zing’s Persian lime and nori seaweed ready-made margarita.
Talking us through this unusual combination, World of Zing explain: ‘The cocktail starts off as a blend of award-winning Ocho Blanco and Reposado Tequilas and agave syrup.’
They went on: ‘This is then mixed with a Dried Persian Lime macerate to provide musky and lively sherbet-like citrus notes before a short infusion with Japanese Nori Seaweed adds a touch of sea-saltiness for a literally mouth-watering sensation.’
Sounds good to us. And, thankfully, Persian limes are the limes most commonly available to us. They are somewhat deceitful though as, while they may not have seeds, most limes have seeds. Who knew?! Turns out you can make a cocktail and learn something while doing so!
And best of all, all you have to do with this mixture you now have is pour over ice – something we reckon you could achieve even when you’re a couple of margaritas to the wind.
