Solar powered algae control using sound waves

[Netherlands] – A solar powered project in the Netherlands is using a combination of water quality monitoring and ultrasound technology to control algae in a recreational lake.

As can be seen in the video below, each system has a treatment range of 500m in diameter.

Dutch company LG Sonic is behind the ultrasound MPC-Buoy technology.
